[ale] SMTP Servers

Those familiar with Qmail want to take a look at Courier 
(http://www.courier-mta.org).  It is Qmail inspired and very complete. 
Supports STARTTLS, Maildir, multiple authentication methods, mailing 
list manager, anti-spam features, etc...
