[ale] need some input on tv capture cards

Found a note at http://www.freeplaytv.org/ that says I'll need a VGA to
NTSC convertor because the video-out on a video card results in poor video
quality. I currently have a Geforce2 card with S-video out.

Anyone know if I'll truly need the vga-2-ntsc, or can I get by without?
They're rather pricey at $95.00.

Thanks,

John
