Senior Consultant with UNIX and Oracle 
Senior contract to hire position for a professional who can think outside the 
box when working with clients. 
The successful candidate must have: 
  2 years minimum experience in UNIX System Administration (HP-UX or 
  Solaris) 
  Kernel settings 
  User Administration 
  Logical Volume Manager 
  Security and Performance tuning 
  HP or Sun Certification desirable 
  2 years minimum experience in Oracle 8 administration 
  Oracle upgrades (from 7 to 8 and from 8 to 8i) 
  Database tuning (knowledge of wait events, statistics, tkprof) 
  Database layout design (RAID level, file system vs. raw devices) 
  Backup and recovery strategies 
Oracle Certification desirable 
New installation experience of both UNIX and Oracle required. Experience in 
Windows 2000 environments required. MCSE desirable 
Must be willing to travel up to 100%, sometimes with short notice. Some 
weekend consulting may be required (Weekday time off to compensate) 
Hourly rate for contract. Corp to corp OK.
