[ale] SAMBA problem solved! New problem . . .

Sounds like your having some problems there.  First off, if you've setup 
your Samba server to be the domain master and if your on a LAN, then 
your Windows boxes aren't configured correctly.  If your not on a LAN 
but a switched network, then maybe you should put host files on your 
Windows boxes so they can resolve your local network using DNS directly 
instead of the demented SMB protocol.  With a little research on the 
Samba docs, you should be able to have your Windows boxes to accept your 
Samba server as their PDC instead of just the Master Browser. 
 Obviously, you've got something out of kilter.  Since we don't know 
your Windows config, it makes it hard to guess what might be wrong.

PS.  Do we know at what level the XP OS runs at?  Also, I've only set my 
OS level to 33 or 34 and still won the SMB battle for control.  You only 
have to beat out the highest other guy to win.
