[ale] Ale digest

It's great that there is a digest feature now.

Sometimes, the ALE digest seems not to be working correctly, though.
I.e. I get a digest like the latest one (Vol 1 #90 - 13 msgs), but it only
contains the first few (in this case 5) messages and the footer is missing
as well. I think it just ends in the middle of the message.

Any idea what the problem is and can it be fixed or do I have to consult
the archives to get to the remaining messages?
