[ale] Capture "devices" ?

  Doesn't a firewire capture device require a firewire camera, etc?
I've got a cam corder and web cam, both have RCA and Svideo outputs.  I
don't have the budget right now to go buy a camera also, just a card and
preferably a semi-cheap one ($100-$150 range).
