I have a server that ran through tests OK. But now it seems to croak on
a NIC driver (3com)

The "eth1 :transmit error" repeats until the box gets rebooted.
This is a source driver supplied by 3com. Is this a sign of a crap
driver? It has happened twice now. It is the second card.
