Well, Geoffrey's command worked (not sure why at all) but it pointed out that 
the /home/drew/.xsession-errors file was alledgedly 842MB. I looked in the 
file and the content text and not that much. Next, I deleted the file, and 
the results show a drastic change HOWEVER, when I use the disk usage monitor, 
it does not seem as though I gained freespace. Could the .xsesion-errors file 
have been linked to other files that counted towards it's size?

]$ gedit /home/drew/.xsession-errors (to delete text inside)
]$ rm /home/drew/.xsession-errors (the file was still 842 MB)

]$ du -s /home/drew > /data/3.txt -m
36	/home/drew  (The du says the directory is now 36MB, however, my total disk 
usage still only leaves 19% free space. Could the .xsesion-errors file have 
been linked to other files that counted towards it's size?
