You need a new kernel and support devices. Since you're apparently on
Intel, you probably just need to enable Input Core and then Input
Mouse support; on things like Ultrasparcs where the mouse isn't part of the
Input core, you have to enable devfs (which should also work on Intel).
Once you do that, /dev/input/mice is character 13,63
