I'd be careful with that last comparison. I'd actually have to 
give the lead to SQL Server, which is not that bad of a 
product. You're comparing apples and oranges anyway: MySQL 
will win on speed but that's because it's not a real database, 
while SQL Server is. PostgreSQL is a better comparison to 
make, but I'd emphasize some other things instead:

Apache vs. IIS
Sendmail/qmail/postfix vs. Exchange
mod_perl vs. ASP
GnuPG vs. PGP (currenly for sale to the highest bidder - 
  you won't see *that* happen with open-source :)

Of course, some of these can be used on Windows, so it's 
really a comparison of "open-source" vs. "propreitary", 
not "Linux vs. Windows."
