[ale] OT:rumors of Chinese attacks

I have heard of a few Win2K servers were broken in due to an IIS 5
bug.  The web pages were defaced with anti-american pages.  Not
sure it is the Chinese or other hackers.  We are not that popular
in the world scene anymore.

Other than that, I have not seen much going on.

Just curious...anyone on the list heard of any rumors to the effect that
supposeably, Chinese crackers, en masse, are supposed to start trying to
break into US systems, creating havoc and mayhem? Perhaps this has been seen
on a hoax list somewhere?
