[ale] problems with getpwent()

I compiled and ran your program. I get the following output:

pass->pw_name: root

I am on RedHat 7.0 and didn't receive any errors; however, I was not
logged in as root. I am not familiar with that particular function, so I
don't know if it should have returned root or not.
