...there is dvips to change dvi's to ps. Note, LyX is a LaTeX front end and
LaTeX gets 'compiled' to a dvi file. LaTeX just rocks, I might have a
manual or two in dvi or ps format. Note also the command pdflatex. This
will 'compile' a LaTeX file to a pdf file. pdflatex does not make the best
pdf files though. I seem to recall some commands ps2pdf, dvi2ps, etc...but
I think these were on a Solaris box I used to have access to.
As for LyX, there is an avid user of it named Bryan Smith over on the UFL
Linux list, info at http://lists.ufl.edu/archives/linux-l.html He is a bit
caustic and verbose, but could probably help you on the LyX subject.
