Redhat 7.1 and 7.2 use xinetd which uses an xinetd.conf file and a
series of files in the /etc/xinetd.d directory. Each service has its own
config file in the xinetd.d directory. You usually enable or disable a
service by editing its file and changing the line that says "disable =
yes" to "disable = no" and then restarting xinetd with the script in
/etc/rc.d/init.d
