I don't know... Linux (and the PnP BIOS) happily recognizes
the card whichever slot it's installed in. Strangely enough,
I have just reinstalled Win98 yet again, tried to install the
D-Link card, failed, replaced the D-Link card with the Netgear
card it refused to recognize yesterday, and now it works.
In the same slot it was not working in before. I will never
understand Windows.
