I'm using it in an extremely hacked up version of tip that I found in Linux Application Development by Johnson Troan. Of course I've added many features and striped out popt support. Not all flavors of Unix support popt. Even with getopt, I'm having to port the getopt.c code over with my version of tip. The tip in the book is licensed by Mr Troan. TO OpenSource it, I will eventually have to strip out all
of his code. Every piece.
But, I'm toggling RTS to test our devices and make sure they are properly using HW flow control.Â

If I remember correctly, enabling flow control of any kind does not affect
the uart itself, but the device driver that is handling the uart. If you
take charge of the line from the driver, you are responsible for the care
and feeding of the flow.
