Ryan,

Based on my limited experience with VM Ware, 128 megs should be enough.
For guidance on a video card, check out the supported cards for X

As for RedHat 7.0, there have been some problems with it. If you plan to
compile programs, you may run into trouble using GCC 2.96, which is the
compiler included. The developers of GCC themselves have said this
version was not meant for general release. As for sound cards, I don't
have a lot of specific advice. If you stick with Soundblaster or
compatible brands, you should be okay.
