[ale] Apache driving me nuts

Hee, hee! Labats Blue if you please! Oh well, I don't live in Atlanta either!
One of these days I'll find time to figure out why that is needed. I'm sure it
has something to do with putting something in an ".htaccess" file, but I don't
know what.
