I recently signed up for EarthLink ADSL and received ZyXEL Prestige 642M. I 
found a forum on http://www.dlsreports.com that had info on hacking the 
P641. I tried the password "mspgzyx" (no quotes) that was mentioned in the 
post and it worked.

The guy who did the hack posted all the info to his web site including a 
configuration util for the 641. It is the closest info to the 642 I have 
found so far.
