First off, I don't know how much it cost, since the company paid for it,
but, I just upgraded to a Toshiba Tecra 8000, PII-366. I've been very
pleased with it. Everything works fine with Linux, except the internal
modem which is a winmodem. There is a driver for this modem, but the
two times I tried it, it locked my box up hard, so I gave up and am
using a pcmcia modem now. It has a neomagic video card which was
automatically recognized and setup with my Mandrake install. It has a
9gig drive. It also has a trackpoint type of mouse. You can
interchange the cdrom and floppy, or you can put the cdrom in the slot
and hang the floppy off of a port on the side.

I've got a docking station with it that has space to add an internal
drive. Has an external scsi port that works great with my scsi scanner.
The docking station has a slot for the floppy, so when it's docked, you
have easy access to both the cdrom and floppy.
