[ale] Problem w/new kernel

[David Corbin]

I'm trying to upgrade my kernel, and I'm having a problem.  The new
kernel "freezes" right after
lilo offers the following line.

Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel.


Any ideas on what to investigate?
