There are several options. The 2.4.0-test series includes
support for it, and you can find a patch for the stable
releases on ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/hedrick

I don't consider the DMA code fully stable yet (for heavy
I/O loads), although I have seen many reports indicating
success with the promise controllers (the problems I have
had are with the intel PIIX4 and HPT366 controllers).
