Chris, Steven and all the others,

    I would like to take this time to thank all who sent words of
wisdom. As you can see below it's seen by linux and is working just
fine. My next  step will be to find the way to get linux to boot up on
the 18gig. This as I understand it, will take some kind of boot disk
that has the driver for the ultra66 card or a way to get the driver on
too the master boot recoard so at boot up it knows what to do.  There is
one thing I see at boot up that I don't undersatnd. When I built the
kernel, I said "yes" to the DMA stuff, but it looks like the systyem is
disabling it. For this and many other newbie question, please stand-by,
I type slow.
