I am subscribed to the ALE list, and I had responded to someone else
(who had posted the urls referred to in the response to the list),
asking for 'counter info.'  The orginal posting was made by someone else
on the ALE list.

I still find it hard to believe that a Windows user group is not
pro-Microsoft, none the less, they certainly are probably not
anti-Microsoft.  I've not pursued the discussion groups via Compuserve,
for obvious reasons.

Regardless, the stability issue of NT was not addressed in the bench
marks and it is an issue that one can not ignore.  When comparing OS's
(Linux and NT) basing it strictly on benchmarks is not providing the
full picture.  Much like a very fast car that has no brakes.  Sure it's
fast, but it crashes everytime you drive it, not much use there now is
it.
