I just added a brand new 3Com multi-function card to my laptop running =
RedHat 5.2
The card is a 3CXME556B with both a 10BaseT Ethernet and 56KBS MODEM.
The system boots O.K. and will allow me to configure the ETHERNET fine.

The problem is when I try to use "pppd" it give and error "tcgetattr: =
Input/Output error(5).

The list of supported PCMCIA cards at =
"hyper.stanford.edu/~dhinds/pcmcia/ftp/SUPPORTED.CARDS" lists=20
the 3CXME556 as a supported card on kernel later than 1.3.73.

The card installed great under windows 95 and works perfectly.
The 3Com install said it was at IRQ 9, COM3.

Any Ideas Or Thoughts Would Be Appreciated !
Mark
