[ale] VA Linux IPO - The Sad Thing ?

Nothing more would make me happy if everything you said was as true as
you put it.
The Government does not own Microsoft. Microsoft owns the Government.
But a body that
is a part of the Government owns Microsoft, and so they own Redhat and
any other public
domain. That is my theory at least.
Yes you do have the first right to the source code. But RedHat with
stock value of 200
can replace you with 20 other developers who will make the same
utilities. A show of
power. Would you think different ?
But I was not referring to "show of power". I was more referring to
Microsoft
espionage. Keep in mind, in retrospect they are happy for RedHat, as
Microsoft's small
fall will make them stronger. If you are hunting for tiger you better
make sure the
tiger is dead, not hurt.
What I am trying to say is that the battle is yet to come. So far we
have seen nothing.
Microsoft will not give up any of their market shares. It is my best
hope that linux
community will not fight amongst each other.
