[ale] libc error msgs

Greetings !

Thanks again for all who have formerly helped.

When exiting the window manager under RedHat4.2, I see the following on
the terminal screen:

	linux_box kernel:	unable to load interpreter
	can't map /lib/libc.so.5
	can't map /lib/libc.so.5.3.12

What's going on ?
