Couple of ways to do get X from here to there.
The easiest for me is simply to run ssh between the two machines because
ssh automatically sets up the magic.
The other way that I know how to do is to run "xhost <othermachine>"
in your X window session, followed by telnet to <othermachine>, and
starting the program with "-display <firstmachine>:0".
There is another way to accomplish this, and I'd appreciate a decent
description of it so I can try and practice.
Hopefully these instructions are complete enough to make sense.
