For those of you following the question I had about setting
up a nameserver, here is the fix.  Thank you for figuring out
what I had done wrong :)  

In the named.boot file, I added the line: 

primary		183.92.192.in-addr.arpa		named.rev

and in the named.rev file I added all the machines in
our domain:

$ORIGIN 183.92.192.IN-ADDR.ARPA.
10              IN      PTR	mars.asetech.com
11		IN	PTR	neptune.asetech.com
etc.
