I've got two questions re: XDM.  

One:  I'm thinking of adding the shadow suite.  Is there an XDM and xlock 
for shadow passwords?

Two:  Is there a way to make XDM write to utmp?  I don't want a bunch of 
logins for every xterm, but I would like it to indicate that someone is 
at the console.


Also, I'm about to take the SCSI leap...am I going to regret it?  Are my 
filesystems going to deteriorate?  Am I going to have hangs and crashes?
