The good news: the new install of Slackware 3.0 ELF on my Dell
Latitude notebook went smoothly. X, 3C509B pcmcia ether card,
apm, tcpip networking, dosemu, all are working fine. Built
kernel 1.3.79, everything still working.

Now I want to get dialup access to my internet provider working.
Picked up ppd-2.2.0e, but get a compile error on it. Maybe I
don't need it with this kernel?

I'm also interested in learning EMACS. Is there a set of Brief
editor emulation macros for EMACS?
