PR is important but ease of installation is, I think, more important.
I have used 3b1's and sun 386i's for years, but I had problems setting
up X windows on linux with UMSDOS. I have tried to get several
"window addicts" to try linux. I even copied and handed them discs
with the mini-linux on them. As I recall there were 5 discs. They
were afraid to try them unless I would come hold their hand and I
never got around to that. Do we have a simple to install mini-linux
available now with perhaps a one page set of instructions? If so
I think I might be able to make some converts, and I suspect others
could also. I had never used Windows until about 1.5 years ago when
I bought a notebook with windows (3.1) and dos (6.?). I even got
MSWORD. They were much worse than I expected.

I could not help with setting up discs, but I would be willing to
try to write installation instructions and mini-docs.

I can't believe I said that.

Bill
