[ale] [OT] Kubernetes vs AWS EC2?

I'm doing some learning and am so far unable to wade through all the bloggers who think they need to blog.

If you're going to AWS anyway, why would you choose a Kubernetes set up vice EC2 images and all of the auto-scaling, etc? Especially if your workforce has the standard OS support skills/processes and you have security requirements to meet.

What am I missing?
