ALE Sunday Meetings - On-line meetings
>From the initial survey responses, I wanted to share some initial Q&A.
Q: Are the Sunday Meetings still happening?
A: Yes, exclusively on-line. The on-line meets allow us to better
share screen and address specific user How-Tos.
Q: Are the Sunday Meetings announced?
A: Yes, if subscribed to the Meetup.com group.
https://www.meetup.com/ale-atlanta-linux-enthusiasts
A: The Atlanta Linux Enthusiasts (ale.org) <https://ale.org/> website
lists the Sunday Meeting as on-going.
Q: What happened to the in person meetings?
A: The Sunday meeting does not meet in person anymore. We have been
on-line each Sunday since the pandemic. It was too far for many in ATL
area. We get better participation on-line from not only Atlanta, yet
also various states and some a few from overseas. Hybrid meetings
didn't work so well, yet we tried.
Q: What is the format of the Sunday Meetings?
A: 3PM US\Eastern each Sunday, 3 hours. Consistently have had
attendance from 7 to 20 people weekly. Mostly it's been Ad-hoc
questions and help and discussions for whatever within Linux topics.
Q: What about Presentations?
A: Some of us are wanting presentations, yet other days and times might
be a problem. Sundays have not been a problem for many that join, so
based upon the survey I sent earlier, we may plan and announce
presentations. Never fear there will still be time alloted for Help.
Please join us each Sunday, if you want to get back into the social
Linux conversation.
Thanks,
Mark Ulmer
