[ale] SATA drive not recognized by BIOS

I think the question was testing with the disks that the RAID did NOT read
properly, to see if it's a busted RAID controller, bad disk, or b0rked
BIOS.
How old IS this system, anyways? Unless it's like 15-20 years old, it
should read any SATA drive.
