That's how time was tracked a millennium ago.

The problem isn't the time on the wall, it's our adherence to a time on the
wall which is essentially arbitrary. 

If someone wants more daylight, then they should get up earlier (or move
toward the equator).

And folks can take my leaf blower when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.
