2nd this. Daughter & son in-law are truckers and use our wifi when home. 
They set up two extenders here that work well. Furthest is about 800 feet 
total with the extender much closer to point of use. Surprised the heck 
out of me that the half way point was not the sweet spot. 

ISP supplied Actiontec GT784WN. Do not remember the brand or model of the 
extenders, other than they are low end cheap ones. Can email them if 
needed? 

Not intended for outdoor use so they mounted them in upside down buckets 
with holes for the antennas to stick out. One has lasted over a year like 
this. The other was broke by a horse getting tangled in the wire:-O
