[ale] Let's discuss audio settings - why all the volume controls?!

If you turn everything up all the way, it might not sound ideal.

This problem occurs whenever there are different parts of a system that
processes sound, predating computers.

Usually I put the mixers at about 80% of max and use application volume
controls for listening pleasure.
