The only ones of those I still use are two to bootstrap the basics on when
I kickstart a system: 1 for common stuff between rhel5/6/7 and 1 for stuff
specific to the OS version. Part of that is my SSH public key so that I can
immediately start using Ansible.

Ansible is FAR better that the custom scripts route. It's quicker, easier
and more predictable.
