[ale] Brother printer woes

I called it exactly what it is.  There is a driver for it, but just in 
case, I also installed a Linux driver via a link on the Brother site and 
tried it too.  In looking at the printer via the web page, it support 
postscript, pcl, some proprietary protocol and text.
