[ale] Make Gnome Shell look like Unity

Funny premise.  I recall not so long ago when all the Ubuntu fan boys were blasting Unity as an abomination and others were saying it was thievery because they Canonical was redirecting donations that should have gone to Gnome to their own coffers.

I guess the wheel has turned.

Back in the olden days, I made lxpanel for my Mom with the 5 things she wanted to do on the left side (thanks to wide-screen monitors). It worked for her for years and she seldom had to use the complicated menu system.
