[ale] PCMCIA wireless with linux support

Does it *HAVE* to be PCMCIA, or do you just need to get wireless to a
machine which doesn't have it?  You can pick up a USB wireless adapter for
under $10 at MicroCenter and the other usual suspects.  The ones I've
bought recently have worked out of the box with Ubuntu and Debian.
