[ale] WIFI mystery speed problems

Good ideas. I'll get some baseline temps with an IR thermometer and 
check next time it slows down.  I don't have a way to measure 
voltage/current.

I'm simply running a command line speedtest.net client (so this is 
measuring bandwidth from the laptop through the router, through the 
modem to the interwebs.  I don't think these are sensitive to DNS 
problems (once it negotiates what server to talk to, it's a set of 
uploads/downloads to that server).  The same client app running on a 
hard-wired server in the basement sees "normal" broadband speeds 
throughout the problem times.
