[ale] Video freeze on Ubuntu 15.04

This is one issue I'm getting real sick of. I have a similar setup. My problem is that sometimes when I maximize a window I see the window title bar and then the area where Chrome would normally be displayed is black. 

Happened a few minutes ago with Wireshark. I wanted WS to take up the desktop. Hit maximize. See a title bar and then black.
