A co-worker has the idea to get a static IP basically for next to $0.

Amazon EC2 free micro tier for 12 months provides enough time (24x7) per
month to have a single node, with it's static IP, that can act as a proxy
server for your dhcp home system. Basically tweak the home box to notify
the t2.micro machine if the IP changes.

OR ---

Set up the t2.micro account to provide only a VPN service to your mobile
phone or laptop, then have a TOR entry point running that only listens to
the internal, loopback port :-)
