I look at "community" involvement. I've been doing this since Jr. HS and I've learned over almost 30 years that it can be better to know how
to get an answer than have it memorized. Especially as we age. If someone is too busy to be a member of groups, lists, etc then they are too busy to
seek out help when they need it. Too busy to provide help when others need it. Just too busy to work with others.
I no longer look at experts at X. I look for real problem solvers. Could be an admin problem that requires programming in Perl, Python, etc? Or could be
a plumbing issue. Someone interested in solving the problems of others. Those people enjoy doing this type of work.
