Crazy thought… Just run the other OS as a VM in VirtualBox or if you have a license, VMware Workstation.

Yeah. Do all the windows stuff before install Linux.

the computer will have windows 8.1 already on it... I was asking if he meant it would be better to upgrade 8.1 to W-10 THEN install fedora, or if it matters..
