[ale] [Semi-ot rant] Why is obtaining a cell phone battery such a degrading experience?

Meh spent $7 for a clock battery for my beloved Lenovo R-51, went through
the 8-step and 35-screw procedure to replace it, sewed everything back up
and discovered that the battery was still dead.

Fortunately, it's a CR2032 with a weird plug. I plan to cut the plug,
solder some copper plates to the appropriate wires, then use conductive
glue or conductive tape to stick them on a known-good battery. In my
experience, soldering connections to a lithium cell is a Bad Idea.
