[ale] cygwin topics appropriate?

cygwin can be clunky. Many of the tools have native replacements, but when I
really need UNIX tools, it is easier to share the folders on the network or
point a VM at it.
I can't recall the last time I used cygwin ... 1999?
However, use Strawberry Perl scripts on Win7 daily. They are automatic.
