[ale] Linux for senior citizens

My 78 year old mother has been very happy with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

I added Chrome so that the extra bits-n-pieces in Gmail and elsewhere would
work nicely.

Also added Skype so that she can easily talk to her children all over the
world.

So far so good.
